DIY Program
“DIY” program is a time to explore your creativity and learn new lifelong skills! You will be able to learn how to make soy wax candles, pottery moulds, making jam, beeswax wraps, plaster paint canvases, and more.

This is a FREE program to all youth between the ages of 12-18. We will be gathering at the Sea to Sky Community Services office located at 38024 Fourth Ave, Squamish, BC. The time that this program will occur is 4:00-5:30pm, during this program we will provide the youth attending with snacks and drinks!

What: “DIY” Do It Yourself is a program that will explore your creativity through different projects resulting in learning new skills!
When: Wednesdays from 4:00-5:30pm for 6 weeks – April 13, 20, 27, May 11, 18, 25
Where: Sea to Sky Community Services office – group room – 38024 Fourth Ave, Squamish, BC.
Cost: FREE to all youth
Safety:

  • Youth will be required to inform the youth workers of any allergies to food/ scents/ materials/ etc.
  • This program will be supervised at all times by a minimum of two youth workers.
  • Please include any dietary/medical/behavioral needs on your registration forms.

Youth Nights at Brennan Park Recreation Centre

Youth Nights continue this winter with fun games, crafts, sports, out trips, movie nights, food and more! Youth ages 12 to 18 are invite to register for Youth Nights! Enjoy some hang out time with your friends, come to meet some new people, and participate in all the fun activities we have planned for you!

Cost: Free
Who: All youth ages 12-18 years old are welcome!
When: Fridays 3-6pm.
Program starts Friday April 9 and runs until Friday June 17 other than Pro D Days/Stat Holidays.
Where: Brennan Park Recreation Centre, Black Tusk Room
Transportation: Youth are asked to find their own way to Brennan Park.
What to bring: A Mask

Safety:

  • Masks are required indoors at this time
  • We abide by all provincial and Sea to Sky community Services and Squamish Nation covid-19 policies.
  • This program is supervised at all times by minimum two experience youth workers
  • Please include any dietary/medical/behavioral needs information in your registration form

  • This program is currently full. Please sign up for the waitlist below and we will contact you if a spot opens up.
  • Registration and the Youth Services Consent and Liability form are required to participation.
  • Please note this is NOT a drop in program. All participants must be registered for the program due to covid-19 space restrictions.

Youth Open Gym - Saturday March 26, April 9, May 21, June 11

Open Gym at Brennan Park Recreation Centre! All youth ages 12-18 are welcome to join us to play sports and group games. Youth will get the opportunity to play sports such as basketball, volleyball, and badminton, while also playing fun group games such as Capture the Flag, California Kickball, and Dodgeball!

Cost: Free
Who: All youth ages 12-18 years old are welcome!
When: Saturdays: January 29, February 26, March 26, April 9, May 21, June 11 from 2-4pm
Where: Gym at Brennan Park Recreation Centre
Transportation: Youth are asked to find their own way to Brennan Park.
What to bring: A Mask, water bottle, wear appropriate clothing/shoes for physical activity.
Safety:
– Masks are required at all times.
-Youth are not required to show proof of vaccination at this time. This may change as policies/requires change as needed.
-We abide by all provincial and Sea to Sky community Services and Brennan Park Recreation Centre covid-19 policies.
– This program is supervised at all times by minimum two experienced youth workers
– Please include any dietary/medical/behavioral needs information in your registration form

Registration
Registration is NOT required. We will be asking youth to sign in upon arrival. There is a maximum of 20 youth in the gym so if we reach capacity youth may need to wait until another youth leaves.

Youth Collective

A new program this season, Youth Collective is a FREE and safe place for youth 12 to 18 to connect, share, and have fun.
Join us for discussions around identity, gender, and inclusion. Activities include arts and crafts, group games, guest speakers, fun outings, and more. Open to all identities, sexual orientations, questioning youth and allies.

Who: All youth ages 12-18 years old. Open to all identities, sexual orientations, questioning youth and allies.
When:
Thursdays 4-5:30. Starting April 7 until June 16 2022
Where: Sea to Sky Community Services Group Room. Address: 38024 Fourth Avenue, downtown Squamish. Let reception know you are there for a youth program.
Transportation: We ask that youth find their own way to the program location. If you need a ride or support please reach out to Mishal.
What to bring: Masks are required.
