Improving development and day-to-day functioning
Our FASD — Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder — key worker works with children who could have been exposed to alcohol or drugs before they were born or who have Complex Developmental Behavioural Condition.
We work with the family to put together a support plan, which includes adapting the child’s environment in response to the child’s needs and building on his or her strengths and may include obtaining an assessment. The key worker also strives to educate the family and empower them to become their own best advocates for their child.
This program is funded by the Province of British Columbia.
“There are not enough words to express how grateful we are for the key worker in our child’s life as an advocate for support and resources to help her thrive. We needed someone who would be persistent and caring enough to fight for our child. So grateful. “
