Workshop Description

Make your students’ favorite storybook, rhyme, or poem character out of clay! CLAYTIVITY Ceramics instructor, Rosemary will show you how. Rosemary will bisque-fire your piece. It will be ready to paint and show to your students in 2-3 weeks.

Facilitator

Rosemary has been teaching hand-building with clay in schools and the community since 2006. She began as an instructor for a ceramics business franchise, Clay-for Kids, in Calgary (2006 – 2009).

She set up her own ceramics business, CLAYTIVITY, when she came to live in Squamish in 2016. As a CLAYTIVITY instructor, she has brought ‘the joy of working with clay’ to community groups, private individuals, and classes in the Sea-to-Sky School District. In 2021-2022, she taught about 60 classes from kindergarten to grade 12 in Schools in Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton. In August 2022, she hosted family friendly and adult workshops for the Squamish Arts Festival.

Rosemary has a postgraduate certificate in  education (Sheffield Polytechnic, UK, 1988) and taught in a middle school in the Bradford School District, UK, from 1989-1990.
