Homeshare

Care and independence

Through Homeshare, adults with a developmental disability share a home with someone who provides ongoing support.

Homeshare can be a great arrangement for many because it can provide both support and independence and because residential arrangements and support are tailored to the individual:

  • Residential arrangements vary. An adult could have a furnished room and bathroom in a house owned by the Homeshare provider, for example, or may provide a room in their own home to a Homeshare provider
  • Support is flexible and evolves according to an adult’s changing needs — from minimal support to a good deal of daily help

“We appreciate everyone that works at SSCS. Everyone is positive, upbeat and very friendly.”
