Drop-ins

Sea to Sky Community Services offers drop-ins and playgroups throughout the corridor. These events are free of cost.

Squamish

HPOP - Wednesdays at 12:00 PM, ages 0-6 months

Takes place at 38024 Fourth Avenue, Squamish. This program helps prenatal women maintain good health and have healthy babies. It provides a weekly drop-in discussion group, a cooking club and one-on-one support. The program is for women who are pregnant or whose child is six months old or less.

Toddler playgroup – Mondays 10 AM – 12 PM, ages 6-24 months

Takes place at 38024 Fourth Avenue, Squamish. For parents with babies 6-24 months old.

CCRR playgroup – Thursdays 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM, ages 0-5 years

Playgroups are a great way to spend a morning with other families If your child is six or younger, please join us for a free playgroup. This drop-in program is for childcare providers, parents, friends and relatives and the children in their care. The morning of free play wraps up with a short session of songs, rhymes and stories. We offer outdoor Playgroups in Pemberton and Squamish during the summer months and rotate among the parks in the community. In Squamish, the Indoor Playgroup runs from October 1 until May 1 at 38024 Fourth Ave in the Group Room. CCRR provides toys, equipment, snacks and activities. IDP Playgroup – Fridays 10 AM – 11:30 AM, ages 0-3 years

Takes place at 38024 Fourth Avenue, Squamish. Sometimes children are slow to reach development milestone such as sitting unsupported, playing with toys, walking and talking. During the first three years of a child’s life, important learning takes place during play and everyday experiences. The role of parents/caregivers is that of the child’s first teacher. We run drop-ins where children can learn and socialize in an informal, fun group setting and parents can speak with our consultant. Come and play with us and learn about child development.

Strongstart - Monday – Friday: 9am-12pm – ages 0-6 years

Takes places Squamish Elementary School We run playgroups for parents/guardians and their children up to 6 years of age. Activities are designed to support the success of children when they enter kindergarten. In addition, we offer support, information, resources and a chance to meet other parents. The programs follow the school year and are closed during school holidays.

Brackendale

Brackendale Family Drop-In – Fridays 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM, ages 0-6 years

Takes place in Room 18 at Brackendale Elementary. This event is free of charge, a light snack is provided and has a short circle time. We follow the school calendar and are closed on Pro D days and holidays.

Valleycliffe

Strongstart - Monday – Friday: 9am-12pm – ages 0-6 years

Takes places at Valleycliffe Elementary School We run playgroups for parents/guardians and their children up to 6 years of age. Activities are designed to support the success of children when they enter kindergarten. In addition, we offer support, information, resources and a chance to meet other parents. The programs follow the school year and are closed during school holidays.

Whistler

Parent-Tot drop-in – Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays 9 AM – 12 PM, ages 0-5 years
