Statement of Responsibility

The Sea to Sky CCRR program is providing referrals only. We do not inspect or supervise the work of registered childcare providers. We assess License- Not- Required childcare providers only for the purpose of determining eligibility for the program. It is the parent’s responsibility to choose, assess and monitor their child care arrangements. The Child Care Resource and Referral Program maintains a child care database for the Sea to Sky Corridor. Care Providers on this list have met one of the following requirements:

• Have met licensing requirements for a Licensed Family Daycare
• Have met licensing requirements for a Licensed Group Child Care Center
• Have met licensing requirements for a Licensed Preschool
• Have met licensing requirements for a Licensed Out of School care Program
• Have met licensing requirements for Childminding, Emergency care or Occasional Child Care at a Ski Hill/ Resort
• Have met registration requirements for a Registered License Not required Careprovider

The Sea to Sky CCRR maintains two lists, one for Squamish and another for Whistler, Pemberton, Mount Currie and Darcy.

Licensed Careproviders:
follow guidelines regarding care that are enforced by the licensing officer. Anyone caring for more than two children other than their own are required to be licensed.

Registered Careproviders:
access support and services from the Child Care Resource and Referral Program. CCRR registration is voluntary. You can check with CCRR whether a care provider is registered or not.

Family Daycare:
Birth to School age, not more than 5 preschool children, not more than 3 children under three years of age, not more than 1 child under 12 months. Kindergarten children count as preschool or school age. 1 staff for up to 7 children. License Required.
