Child Care Resource and Referral

The Child Care Resource and Referral Program has been operating in Squamish since 2001 and provides support and resources to families and child care providers in the Sea to Sky Corridor.

The CCRR operates a referral database to connect parents and child care providers. The CCRR provides referrals only and it remains the responsibility of the parent to contact and interview potential care providers.

We have a lending library with toys, resource boxes, equipment and books! Parents and care providers can borrow items for one month.

Playgroups are a great way to spend a morning. Playgroups in Squamish and Pemberton rotate around local parks. CCRR provides toys, equipment, snack  and activities. All you need to bring are the children. To find out when there will be a CCRR Playgroup near you please phone the office.

CCRR Staff can assist you in your decision to register as a License Not Required Care Provider (caring for up to two children other than your own) or to go through the Licensing Process through Vancouver Coastal Health to become a Licensed Family Daycare.

We are involved with many community events throughout the year, including health and trade fairs, picnics, literacy events and events coordinated with other agencies.

CCRR now assists parents and child care providers in accessing Child Care Subsidy. Child Care Subsidy Application booklets are available at the CCRR office, and staff are trained to answer questions and verify documentation.

Through bi-monthly newsletters, networking meetings, workshops and our website we are committed to keeping you informed about current events, upcoming opportunities and child care issues facing parents and care providers in our community.
