We are working to create new community and programming space in downtown Squamish.

We are working with Squamish United Church. The church has offered to give us land – at Fourth and Victoria — that we will use for community and programming space. The church will build a new sanctuary adjacent to us.

We think this wonderful opportunity will meet the needs of both our organizations and the needs of the community. We have designed a building (pdf) to allow us to meet current and future community needs. We plan to build:

• A new community hall
• Community meeting rooms
• Supported housing
• Program rooms
• A social enterprise
• Offices

Collaborative project, distinct spaces and responsibilities
This project is collaboration between Squamish United Church and Sea to Sky Community Services Society. This is a partnership but with clear divisions. Separate organisations, our fundraising efforts are separate and our buildings and operations will be separate. The divisions and responsibilities are guided by a master agreement and strata agreement.
